There are sure-fire ways to know whether the person is a Filipino or not. Like in Chinese or Japanese, there are ways to distinguish them one from another. Although from the looks, Indonesian, Malaysian and Filipinos are very hard to distinguish, here are several traits Filipinos display and this is one way of differentiating them one from another:

1. Yelling pssst,huuy! at a gathering of pinoys. (Watch them turn around)
2. We pointing using our lips.
3. Having no worries in eating a Balut!
4. Being stucked in very bad traffic and waist level floods are "normal" rainy days.
5. Rice is a must at meals!
6. Dipping bread in your morning coffee
7. You use Perla soap on your face. (ugh! Everyone needs to know that there is such a thing called "Dove"!!!)
8. You use the dishwasher as a dish rack.
9. You order a 'soft drink' instead of soda
10. You order breakfast items like tapsilog, longsilog, or tocilog at restaurants. (Reminds me of Binalot! Yummy!)
